Flame Retardant Aluminum Hydrate
We have been a fire resistant material manufacturer since 2004. Flame retardant aluminum hydrate is a fire-retardant additive of excellent fire-retardant effect. Our flame retardant is non-toxic, non-corrosive and anti-explosive. It is extensively used in polymer composite products such as electrical wire, cable, PP, PE, PVC, PS, and ABS plastic rubber. Our flame retardant aluminum hydrate is also for use in unsaturated polyester, paint and coating.
Introduction to Flame Retardant Aluminum Hydrate
Our flame retardant aluminum hydrate is produced by adopting sintering process, superfine grinding process and surface modified technique. It contains low iron and is white.
The surface modified Al (OH) 3 flame retardant has improved the surface properties of aluminum hydrate. It has no aggregate and can be dispersed into various high polymers efficiently. The fire retardant rate and mechanical properties of our flame retardant aluminum hydrate has approached or even surpassed the international level of the like products.

Packaging Specification:
Kraft bag with a plastic bag lining (20/25 kg)
Application of Flame Retardant Aluminum Hydrate:
1. Various latex products
The flame retardant aluminum hydrate is applicable as carpet underlay, bonding agent, in foam material and boards, etc. In general, 20-150 portions should be added to 100 portions of latex and 75-250 portions should be added to 100 portions of bonding agent.
2. Synthetic rubber
When used as the flame retardant and filling agent of various rubbers, it can improve the electric insulation performance and arc resistance of rubbers.
3. Unsaturated polyester resin
If it used in sheet molding compound (SMC) and bulk molding compound (BMC), the plastic will have the characteristics of smoke abatement and flame resistance, etc, so it is widely used in glass-reinforced plastics.
4. Epoxy resin
If 40%-60% Al (OH)3 fine powder is added to epoxy resin, the oxygen index and arc resistance of the products can be improved. At the same time, the mechanical properties, process viscosity, and heat resistance will not be affected.
5. PVC and other thermoplastics
In general, 100 portions of PVC can be added to 20-30 portions of Al (OH)3 fine powder (if it is 50 portions of fine powder in 100 portions of PVC, the plastic can be self extinguishing). The fire resistance of PVC products can be better if 1.5-2.0 Sb2O3 is added. Furthermore, PVC products with aluminum hydrate are translucent and have better dispersion and aging resistance.
6. Other thermosetting plastics
As a flame retardant of acrylic resin, Al(OH)3 can also produce a marble-like translucent state during the production of acrylic resin, thus forming a marble imitation. Moreover, aluminum hydrate is also the flame retardant of polyurethane foam plastics, ethylene copolymer, diallyl phthalate (DAP), melamine-formaldehyde and dilatable coating, etc.
We are an engineering plastic material manufacturer, specializes in making flame retardant PE, PBT, PP, ABS, PC materials. Our company has passed ISO9001 and ISO14001 certification, some of our flame retardant materials have passed UL certification and ROHS test. Customized plastic granules and product processing are available in customer needs. Thanks!
